EPCON is coming! EPCON is coming!!!
That's right, boys and girls. The long awaited El Paso Comic Con is finally coming on September 15th and 16th -along with preview night on the 14th, of course.
This local convention is the brainchild of our friend Julian Lawler, El Paso native and creator of Broken Tree comics. The con will be bigger than last year's and their awesome list of guests include Arthur Suydam (Marvel Zombies awesome artist), Adi Gathegi (X-Men first class& Twilight) and among many others: David Prowse -yes, the one and ONLY Darth Vader. -not the skinny creep we all saw wearing the suit on Episode III.
For more information, check out the EPCON 2012 website and if you're in the area, stop by and have the time of your life.

Super Powers!
If you grew up in the 80's like I did, you may recall a TV show called "Super Friends: The Legendary Super Powers Show". Although most of the heroes (except for Firestorm) lacked an individual personality, it was pretty fun to watch on saturday mornings. One big plus was that it featured one my favorite DC villains of all time: DARKSEID. Heck, I even read that Jack Kirby himself designed the character for the show!
Like oh-so-many cartoons of the 80's, the cartoon had a toy line tied to it called "Super Powers" and needless to say, it left a mark on my psyche. That's why I decided to start a new series of prints based on some of the characters from the show. The background is 100% inspired in the "Super Powers" logo.
Enjoy!

FREE COMIC BOOK DAY
I just want to say THANK YOU to my friends at Daxie Boy Toys for their support and to all of my new customers. My first Free Comic Book day was a success thanks to you all. I had a blast!
The wisdom of Master Yoda
Hi everybody!
This is one of my latest works. The Empire Strikes Back has always been my favorite Star Wars movie and I think part of it is because it's perhaps the only "spiritual" movie of the whole series.
When I was sketching this piece I had a hard time figuring out if I wanted to do a realistic work or one with an animated-cartoon feel. I chose the latter because after all, this is the style that I've always felt more comfortable with.
I hope y'all dig it!
